Fish Failures

Tender hearted Michael said we could go to the pet store as part of our "family adventures" on Saturday. "Forever Young" came on as our son oogled the fish.

We came home with a starter aquarium and two goldfish.

Joshua was over the moon!!

Obviously, we were over excited and not prepared.

Both fish were dead in the morning. Fail.
(14 day guarantee, we'll head back the pet store and try our hand at "new" fish.)

  2. Since Silas has not given us his time table, i thought I could at least entertain you with some of our goings-on. :)

  3. Get a Beta - they live for years!! Our first was like 3 years old when it kicked it - and Jelly #2 (who Greyson still believes is #1) is going on like 9 months or so now!! :)

  4. Beta fish do live much longer and are much more tolerant to temperature and water changes. Gold fish, while common starter fish, are actually very delicate and their life expectancies aren't great. Good luck with fish go number 2! And....I am anxiously awaiting baby news!!! ;)

Side note...only one beta fish at a time. They don't like company. :)
