St. Pete Beach: Day 1

School's out and we went to enjoy some time just the 4 of us as a family.

We jumped in the car after church and headed west.

It wasn't long before the boys were asleep.

We hit some rain and it slowed us down a bit.

Memories came flooding back to road trips with my dad: feet on the dashboard  alternating between sleep and singing  at the top of my lungs.

When we arrived at the hotel Joshua said, "Look at this lovely chair! It looks perfect for sitting and knitting a blanket."
Where does he come up with this stuff!?!

Our view of the Gulf.

The 1st of the 5 pools we tried out was wonderful. I was nervous about the rainy weather but it held up enough for us to go try out some swimming.

Silas enjoyed some dancing in the moonlight before we headed back to get jammies.

Slugged up in bed watching a movie before sailing off to sleep.
