Yep, I'm that mom. I bought a mini-tree, made cookies, and brought a santa hat to take pictures of my boys at the beach. 
They decorated the tree, and Joshua played in the water.
We even made a sandman. It was terrific.
That night, hand-in-hand we went to check out the Christmas lights.
