Magic Kingdom

August 2011
We made our first trip to Magic Kingdom as a family. Michael's family was visiting and it was a great time to plan our trip.
Kyle and I were the only ones who had been there, and for each of us it was about 20 years prior. It was certainly a day full of memories!

Whole group shot after the excitement of getting gas, and driving there, making sure we had sunscreen, and extra batteries, diapers, and our smiles we entered the park.
Michael and I took Joshua in the teacups right away. Joshua loved them a little to our surprise. I had braced myself for the screaming child, begging for the ride to be over... or was that flashbacks of when I was a child... anyway he did great and couldn't wait to go on the next one.
Out little outlaw took a bit of a nap with Auntie Rachel while the rest of us went on Space Mountain. I was nervous before we went how the day would go for our son who sleeps only in his bed or in the pack-n-play. He slept in the stroller and when he awoke he was ready to see more!
Some fun times with his family he sees about once a year.
The Florida afternoon showers had a nervous for a while, but no raindrops, just a little bit of lightening and thunder.
 Seeing the MOUSE...
The sign out in front said 15 min. wait. It was about 9 o'clock when we realized that we hadn't seen The Mouse and we needed to. The sign was less than accurate... by the time we got to see Mickey, Joshua was cranky, and not interested. I will admit to a little bit of disappointment. He had done so well all day, and now meeting the Mouse... anti-climatic.

Joshua made it to the gift shop strategically placed after meeting Mickey and he grabbed onto a stuffed Mickey from the Sorcerer's Apprentice.  We could not resist. One thing we use as a back up during break-downs is watching Sorcerer's Apprentice. (It is bookmarked on my computer.)
Shortly after Mickey was purchased, he was off to dreamland. The rest of us watched the fireworks and rested our weary feet after a long day. We headed back to the car for the ride home. The next day, Joshua snuggled his Mickey as he watch the Sorcerer's Apprentice. He basked in the afterglow of a great day! Every time we see "Mickey's Castle" at the beginning of a movie or in an advertisement he gets excited about going "'gain!"
